When you book your flights with PG Cruises...
If your flight arrives the day of departure (and no sooner), you will also get complimentary Airport transfers to a complimentary 'DAY ROOM' at the IC Tahiti Resort. Meals/beverages are additional costs. You will then be transferred to the ship later that afternoon.
Secondly, if you book your flights with PG Cruises, outbound flights typically depart at 11:50 PM at night, the day of disembarkation. PG Cruises offers a complimentary motor coach transfer to a complimentary 'DAY ROOM' at the Radisson Hotel/Resort. Meals/beverages are additional costs. The thing is that you get off the ship at 9:00AM. Your Day Room at the Radisson is not available until closer to 2:00 PM. Guests have the option of sitting around a pool for hours or continuing on an Island Tour. Later that evening (8:00 PM) you are then transferred to the Airport.
Alternatively, though it costs money to do so, we highly paying for a Day Room at the IC Tahiti Resort c/w Early check-in! It is worth every penny! The IC resort is far superior, your room is ready right away & if you have late check-out, you do not have to leave the comfort of your room until after 8:00 PM.
When you book one or more Pre and/or Post Cruise nights at the IC Resorts...
PRE-CRUISE ~ Early Check-In
Most clients want to add one (or more) pre-cruise overnight stays at the IC Tahiti resort before their cruise. If you have a same day arrival, then Early Check-in is not required. However, many flights from LAX to Papeete, Tahiti depart after 11:00 PM & fly through the night, arriving at 6:00 AM the next day. It is highly recommended that you add-on Early Check-In so that an air conditioned room awaits you after that long flight! ... and if you have booked an additional pre-cruise overnight stay at the resort, your Early Check-in rate is only 50% of the overnight rate!... the Early check-in rate is the same as the Overnight rate if you do not book an additional night. Without Early Check-in, you will not get access to your accommodations until noon & forced to wait - with luggage at the pool.
PRE-CRUISE ~ Late Check-Out
The PG Cruise ship embarks in the latter part of the afternoon. Check-out at the resort is around 10:00 AM. Again, we recommend Late Check-out so that you can relax in comfort & take your time preparing to transfer to the ship. Late Check-out rate is only 50% of the overnight rate because you stayed overnight!
POST-CRUISE ~ Day Room with Early Check-In
Outbound flights typically depart PPT at 11:50 PM at night, the day of disembarkation. You disembark the ship after 9:00 AM. You can opt for the complimentary motor coach transfer, long (& lame) island tour, complimentary 'DAY ROOM' at the Radisson Hotel/Resort (after 2:00 PM), & transfer to the Airport.
Alternatively, though it costs money to do so, we highly paying for a Day Room at the IC Tahiti Resort c/w Early check-in! It is worth every penny! The IC resort is far superior, your room is ready right away & if you have late check-out, you do not have to leave the comfort of your room until after 8:00 PM. Reserve a private transfer. With a private transfer a driver would meet and greet you at the PPT airport and welcome each of you with a fresh flower lei. The 'lei' is a welcomed touch!

The cabs do not charge what you stow on your lap or seat in the cab!

French Polynesia uses a currency called ‘CFP’ (Comptoirs Français de Pacific Francs) To calculate the US$ rates, multiply their currency by .0115764 (rates will vary with exchange)
